Just days away until I start my own life and head to army boot camp. Deep down I'm going to most likely miss my family and some of the memories I spent with other people in this area. Made some great friends and some bad ones, but at the end of the day it was an overall unique experience. I've heard countless personal stories and events from each individuals where it was very rewarding for me just the fact that you could learn so much from one human being. On early Febraury I enlisted in the army and signed the 11x option contract as an infantrymen. At this point I was so pumped and ready to get Armystrong, until one day I met this lovely girl at my school. It was a typical day during my lunch break where I did my routine of eating, thinking, and enjoying the view of sunny blue sky. I liked being isolated during that period since it gave me a lot of time to think, but one day this nerdy white girl with nappy hair showed up and asked if she could join me for lunch. To prepare for BAC, you need to pass the Army PFT with a score of 180 and be able to hold a flexed arm hang for 10 seconds*. At age bracket 17-21 that is only a score of: 180 Score Pushups: male 42        Female   19 Sit-ups:       52                53 2-mile run:    15:54             18:54 These scores are below average for the caliber of student who easily graduates Airborne without any trouble on the daily runs and PT. I would recommend getting closer to the 80 - 100 Percent on the APFT so you can enjoy the training and better concentrate on the mission at hand - jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.
